Blog
I don't need to tell you what a blog is. If you want to read the inane ramblings of a lonely guy in Tokyo, you've come to the right place. I'm making this landing page before I've written any posts, but I've already decided this will be where I write reviews of any media I list in the Weeb Shit section of the site. I might also write about my thoughts on translation or my day-to-day life. Whatever I feel like shouting into the void that's too long for a Bluesky post, I guess.
Oh, and I'm not planning on implementing any kind of comment feature. That would require JavaScript, and JavaScript is the enemy. If you really want to tell me your thoughts on any given post, you're probably already my friend, in which case you know where to find me. On the off-chance you're some rando, well, try directing your attention to the footer of literally any page on this site.
I am, however, implementing an RSS feed! The link's right here: https://dubstepkazoo.nekoweb.org/blog/feed.xml. Why fix what ain't broken, eh? And if you don't know what RSS is, boy do you have a magical adventure of discovery ahead of you. I recommend starting with Cory Doctorow's blog post about it.
June 2025
- June 3: Yugioh GX ain't half bad, either - In which I express genuine admiration for a Yugioh property I largely slept on as a kid.
May 2025
- May 29: In case you weren't aware, Yugioh kicks all kinds of ass - In which I rave about the only good card game anime in existence.
- May 21: I am, in fact, alive - In which I arise from the dead to briefly describe my rather uninteresting life.
April 2025
- April 9: I know I'm late to the party, but The Strange House is pretty cool, innit? - In which I briefly heap praise on a viral-video-turned-experimental-novel.
March 2025
- March 25: A case study of some romcom manga I find interesting to think about - In which I gush about some romcoms I like and fail to make a coherent point.
- March 16: The zombification of Higurashi When They Cry - In which I ramble about a Comiket darling into which corporate suits have sunk their gnarled claws.
- March 10: Toshikai's a pretty good game, innit? - In which I talk about a neat little game I played last month.
